Artist Statement: As an illustrator and designer, a lot of my work tends to be inspired from three different things. In illustration, I tend to draw from the styles of manga & anime. This is due to the influence they have had on me for the past several years. I also draw from illustrators I may research for my projects, finding new techniques or styles that I feel can become part of an interesting piece. For my design work, I tend to draw from a sort of minimalist style, feeling that too much design tends to draw away from the content of the work itself, especially with designs that include type. With these styles and inspirations, I tend to create work that fits the needs of the projects I am given while also holding some form of my own creativity.
